I partnered with the founder of Bernie's to concept and design their brand identity from the ground up. Bernie's beautifully crafted Italian ices are made with fresh ingredients and nostalgic summer flavors reimagined for grown-up palates — and from the start, we knew the identity needed to capture that same spirit of bold, playful sophistication.
A vibrant color palette mirrors the brand's bold flavor pairings, while the primary logo draws on a vintage typeface with stylized ligatures. A chunky secondary font commands attention across the brand tagline, and a bespoke retro character ties the whole aesthetic together with a wink.
Elements of the logo extend into icons and secondary marks, offering endless possibilities across collateral and merchandise. The signature 'B' stands alone as a confident brand signifier, while the retro character weaves through fruit illustrations and the broader visual system.
